Is that all?! LOL

Which garage is it at mate?

My mate works at SMC in Stanley, it tends to be more Audi's & VW's but he's a tester too so i could get him to take a look if you want?

When you had the rear brakes done did you get a new bleed nipple in the offside? It needed one, sealed up ok but was rounded to f*ck.

by any chance it wasnt the driverside that rounded off was it? i didnt do the brakes last time, my mate done the pads and pressure bleeded the system but there is still air getting in somewhere.

Aye mate, drivers side / offside / same difference.

Are the brakes getting progressively worse? As in like there was a leak for air to enter, or does it just not feel right at all?

Can the bias valves hold any air? I think that one is seized, bash it with a hammer after a good soak in plusgas and when it's freed off, bleed the system again.

there is air getting into the brake system somewhere. dont no if the bias valves can hold air on not? its somewhere from the abs pump to the rear caliper that the air is getting in.

This weekend i have been up in Perth, had some track time at knockhill on Sunday with chrisd306. Had some time on Saturday to sort a few things on my car.

Got my car up on the ramps to make a start, had an advisory sheet from my mot what said i needed a new n/s ball joint, checked both ball joints and there was no problem, problem we found was o/s wheel bearing. Chris cracked on with changing my hub as he had a spare while i fitted new hand brake cable and Gmax rear shocks and removed my spare wheel and hanger. Also had his dad weld my exhaust up and fit me a new exhaust hanger.

After knockhill i headed back up to Perth with Chris to pick up my new wheels Big grin not sure weather to paint then the same colour my cyclones were or to leave them how they are?

Just gone and picked my car up from my mates, drove it home and there was a hell of alot of white smoke coming out the exhaust, filled the roads LOL tapping has got alot worse aswell. i am hoping its just the headgasket because i have had enough of rebuilding gti6 engines now Sad

i have a spare head in my shead with 16 bent valves. removed the cams to get to the valve buckets, when you press down on them should they be solid or should they have abit of a spring on them? 10 of them dont budge and the other 6 i can press down a little bit

They should be solid. Will go soft over time if left sitting. But ater the engines being run should be soild. Could possible be what your tapping sound is.

another eddy 6 that has gone to the graveyard , bad times fella , you should just buy one that dosent tap or need engine work , as i had no engine trouble at all with my 6 or rallye

i no, i realy want a rallye Love

things just keep getting worse. i dont think its my head gasket, just checked my oil, its now below the lowest mark, exhaust is covered in oil, water is fine and it sounds like a scooby. think its a piston ring. going to check the plugs tomorrow and see what one it is, i have a spare block but its off my old 6 and the bottom end is sized so hopefuly 2 bottom ends will make one good one then that just leaves the tapping head to sort out. this one will not be going to the grave yard, i Love it too much at the minute LOL i only broke the old 6 because it needed to much work doing Sad

I prefer the second set of wheel than the cyclones in the colours given, however I think cyclones look awesome standard and you should put standard cyclones back on Smile

today i stripped my spare sized bottom end down and found the problem with it, the shells on piston 4 were f*cked and had worn down the crank so would need to be reground and new shells fitted. i may be able to save my other bottom end, hope its just a piston thats the problem.

also after work i removed my plugs to see if any of them were covered in oil. this is what i found, plugs 1, 2 & 4 were black and plug 3 had no end on it. something has been hitting it some how to chew it up like this. going to get a better look at it next week when i get my engine out.
