only 1 way to find out... harness are in but no harness bar just yet, too cold to fit that and it needs painting. the harnesses reach the back of the car, i just have no idea how they would fasten to the bar. anyone help me with that?

its the bit where the eyelet is, is there adjustment on it or is it it a fixed bit of materiel?

i cant use the bars ive got them on at just now, need to weld a bar at 45 degrees angle onto the cage, but no point doing that till my new seats come!

Yeah i have them buckle bits on mine, i will paint the bar on friday when i am off work and fit it over the christmas if i get a chance

you did indeed mate, hopefully have my 6 looking like that next year. i have black harnesses and my battery is behind the passanger seat Big grin

Chris what size steering wheel do you have in your rallye? trying to get the mother to buy me one but dont no weather to go for 320mm or 350mm

GE short shift and miles gear linkages came on Christmas eve and i fitted them yesterday, had a bit of i fanny on fitting them but there and and gear shift feels great, i will get pics up when i get a chance, had a busy day today seeing family

Thumbs up to miles for the quality of the linkages, well recommended to who ever hasn't got any

those bolt in harness bars are dangerous, chop it up and get it welded into the cage properly Thumbs up

Not had anytime for the car over the xmas and new year, had my seft a spare hour to get my short shift and linkages fitted tho Smile gear changes are now alot shorted and smoother. i was back to work today so its time to hammer plenty of over time in to get the car running well for some track days this year Cool

Eddy you need to stay clear of gti6 engines as the way your going there will be none left when anybody else needs 1 haha

People best be quick and get a spare one while they have a chance then Laugh my ass off
going to order new ball joints, track rods wheel bearings and some picasso droplinks today to see if i can sort the front end out after i hit the kerb last year. i have found that the picasso droplinks are slightley longer than the gti6 droplinks and work better on lowered cars so i am going to give then a try instead of paying £10065+ for the alloy ones on ebay
