right then, sourced some gti6 calipers rather than the 307 ones i was mis sold. fitted them with a new set of Mintex 1155 pads and 205 gti6 braided lines from Miles Smile

also fitted is the C5 alloy steel's which ive done in black and are wrapped in new R888's

seeing as it was now back roadworthy, had Mot, Insurance still thought i'd tax it so i could take it for a spin. Smile started straight up, which i was pleased with seeing as it has been sat there since the last trackday in october. took a while to get used to it again, bit of an animal compared to the 306 gti6 which i've been driving around in recently Smile

the pair together earlier, (only took on the work phone so not great quality)

and the gti6 (again not great quality) fitted some crystals on it which can be seen just about in the above picture

bring on the trackdays Smile

Yours has 4 individual coil packs, one on top of each plug. DTA management (of the type used here) can only run one coil pack, hence using one and using HT leads.

pulled the 1.9 box and quiafe diff out of the car the other day, fitted the Tran X diff on 45/45 settings and ground the various spots to make it fit the standard mi16 gearbox.

all back together now and washed it off earlier and took it for a spin and got some pictures...

mi16 box is a bit closer through the first few gears but the extra cornering grip is amazing, just really drags the car through whereas the quiafe would just stop the inner wheel spinning... cant wait to try it in anger at the combe trackday on the 31st...

Love this car but it looks so much better on the white wheels.

Well I'm in two minds but in the flesh they look pretty cool, looks about more of a track car which it is! I don't think white c5 wheels look right and if they did go white I'd have to powder coat them to stop the brake dust eating into the white paint.
