88mm pistons309btcc, not 100% on what bhp it will be once it is mapped but shall find out in a month or so. somwhere between 220-240 but its more about the mid range extra torque on this engine regarding cost, a bloody lot haa. erm well the head is off my old mi/gti6 hybrid engine so thats just had a strip down, check and rebuild. bottom end it completely new. prob circa 3k for what you see above without putting the head/cams into it ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

hmm, sandy seems more keen on the 2.1 builds, hes done a fair few now. isnt it a bit more work too and the bores get fairly thin? i didnt look into 2.2 that much tbh rallyestyle, its going in my 205 rallye for trackdays but im going to be looking at doing a few sprints and hillclimbs too but see how it goes really. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

yeah i know, real competetion wise youre screwed with a 16v 205, but tbh in a hill climb class i dont think it would be that bad, just a bit of fun and a alternative to trackdaysporbably next year be looking at a change of cams and convert to solid lifter to realise some more wild ponies ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

do you know the rough power band and what top revs are is, without solid lifters?________________________________________ Do you need a 205 > 306 gti6 plug and go engine loom? Power wise the 2.1's tend to produce strong torque from above 3.5k rpm right through to the limiter. Bhp wise they tend to produce at 5k RPM what a stand RS engine would be producing at peak. And then at around 7k rpm usually produce somewhere between 220-240 bhp like ash says. (assuming still on hydraulic lifters and cams to suit) Its seems a very good unit for producing a strong midrange! ________________________________________ 2.1 16v 306 Rallye. |

they don't need particularly wild cams either, sarty's 2.2 is still on a stock exhaust cam at 240 bhp/196 lbft.I'd imagine these with the shorter stroke could rev a little easier and still produce the power, but not quite as much torque. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

trial fit of the tb's with the satchell inlet.as you can see the jenveys run upside down, better air/fuel mix is the main reason. also gives more of a clean look i think too. ive removed them again now and got the gaskets sorted so there ready to fit properly now side view with the filter removed more pics soon... ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |
