I was told liams car hadn't been mapped either. Touring car spec by longmans is about 264- 270 I wouldn't say pug 1 off is any better they are bassically doing the same thing . ________________________________________ ph3 gti-6 china blue- mint conditionph2 gti-6 nile blue K.I.A dec 2010 |

240 ish and near 200 lbft is quite "easy" from the S16 for relatively little if you don't mind extra CC's, I'd imagine the gti6 could produce similar results from the same recipe.it'll cost you a set of pistons and rods, overbored block, 92mm stroke 2.1 Diesel crank, inlet cam upgrade, Colin Satchel's throttle bodies, maniflow exhaust manifold. If you want a similar power from 2.0 you'll need to chase more revs which means more cam, inevitably more peaky. "touring car" spec from Longmans depends entirely on which year and what intake they were running, there were a few variants from 240 to 270 afaik. As Miles said, the 306 had to run to quite specific regulations, and hence the cam profiles used were somewhat of a compromise, without limitations you can get a far better cam off the shelf or custom ground. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I have a 'btcc' spec engine in my touring car now, 309btcc's bros old one. I never thought it would make anything more than 250bhp as the touring car engines never made that much in btcc trim. The cams are only about 0.4mm higher lift than standard GTi-6 cams, just longer duration, the rest of the engine is a good spec though so some bigger cams and springs if required soon make them nearer 270bhp. My original touring car engine made 240bhp with the 'standard' inlet manifold on, this one with ITB's on peaked at 252bhp@9k rpm, but settled at 245bhp with a better power curve. Won't be revving it to 9krpm though, probably 8krpm will do, and lose about 10bhp. Revving to 9.5k may be good for bragging rights but 270bhp at 8.5k would be much nicer to drive! ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

Whos dyno was that on? Theres only a few 'original' spec engines left, most have higher lift cams in now. I'd be interested to see what Carls 306 makes as I believe thats still original.________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

What's the most anyone has got from one of these engines on a set of 45mm bodies? I'm a little concerned that I won't have enough flow for big top end figures as most of the high power NA guys seem to be on 48s.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Looks like theres a good chance I won't be held back too badly by 45s then? Coupled to an 8 injector setup I think I should hopefully get the power I'm looking for.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. as long as you have a decent matched length inlet tract you'd be fine I'd imagine.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I was alluding to a proper inlet rather than an off the shelf point the trumpets at the bonnet item but that is more cash ! ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
