Tuesday update.IT RUNS!!!!! Spent a couple of hours this evening getting the engine bay back together - with a view to finally having the thing running under its own steam. Managed to remember where all the plugs and sensors went and she fired up almost immediatly. Bit of a cough from where the injectors still had residue of cleaning fluid in them and a slight leak from the fuel rail (ending up with my right eye being filled with petrol - not to be recommended) but soon sorted. Had it running for about an hour, will be taxing the car tomorrow and then using it as much as possible. Some quick engine bay pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() Next big job is to get the 4 wheel alignment done and only then can we do a proper detail of the exterior/interior/engine bay to get it looking its best. ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? Been out in the car this evening and highlighted a couple of niggles.Firstly the back is too low, needs lifting by at least 10mm i reckon as the tyres are alarmingly close to the rear arch lips. Secondly, the magnex is too ba5tard loud for an old fart like me. 3000rpm feels like the whole car is just exhaust boom. Hate it. Real shame as well as the tailpipe looks great. So, need to source a new OE spec back box (the OE spec centre i have is mint), and get the torsion bars out to lift the rear height up. Other than that, the car drives well, engine feels great with the refurbed injectors in, just noisy with the bloody magnex!! Is the Magnex brand new? My exhaust quietened down precisely 193.4% after doing about a thousand miles on it. |

It was a used magnex, bought of CUJ from here, so mileage is unknown. I've decided that im 100% going back to standard (exhaust wise)________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt?
