oecken wrote: well thats some bf if he knows how much work is involved just buy some metal monkey dials and be done, Deli yours is a phase 1 right? If it is you can have my old Lockwood white dials with all the hard work done already. For a price, of course, but £20 is bargainous territory considering how many days it took me to do them! As for the speedo.. who needs one? Just drive it a speed that's seen as "comfortable" ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

My advice? Miles' gear linkages and genuine clutch cable. I had a pattern cable and it lasted 200 miles before snapping.________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Erm, update? Not really sure where to start, the throttle bodies were all getting stripped down for painting until my brake lines decide to corrode through, then the replacement lines wouldn't bleed properly as the nipples had sheared off the rear calipers. Y'know, the usual story. Oh and, thanks to the scum of the village deciding to use my car as a playground (presumably the one 50 metres down the road was too far away) it got me thinking.. what's a nice low maintenance colour that can be applied easily, looks a little different and is easily repairable if the wee scrotes choose to do it again? Definitely not one for the purists so pics are available on request However after doing my back in last week I found a job I could do easily as it involved lying down a lot.. painting the rear beam! yay! Some picture loveliness: I got a bit excited though and seem to have splattered the fuel tank and exhaust And slow but sure itb progress And a sneaky peek ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |
