Well, had a pretty productive day yesterday. Managed to get a few things done, made a start on the itb's but had a massive case of cba after half an hour because my nephew's still over after his dad died the other day Sad

Bought a big black tin of matt black paint with a view to redo the rubstrips but didn't have any spare trim clips, so instead decided to paint the a and b pillars in the interior. Turned out pretty nice actually Smile

Painted the foglight covers black too and the Pug badge graphite grey. Clear coat made the covers too shiny so I might do them again without it...

And as for the itb's, stripped down the vacuum system and idle fins, went to take the fuel rail off and hit a wall. Turns out Yamaha are more stupid than Peugeot, they use Philips headed screws for everything, so a light bit of corrosion = rounded screws. Need to drill them out they're that soft, thats the point i went "meh" and finished up.

here, have some pictures Smile

Some of the new fog covers and graphite grey badge

The black A- and B- pillars

And some slow throttle body progress

Oh and finally, i know being a line painter isn't a massive mental challenge but it all seems to have been too much for one guy at Strathclyde Park Laugh my ass off

Stage 2 inlet and either stage 1 or 2 exhaust, can be used with standard pistons which is handy.

With the itb's and a map from Wayne the setup *should* be good for 200bhp+, supposedly

I think once my stickers arrive from adam they'll look much better tbh. Was tempted to tint the lenses but with covers it gives me the option of going back to yellow fogs whenever I want

Oh and another thing, just confirmed dial design with Naomi at MetalMonkey, will look like this once finished. If anyone wants a set of white Lockwood dials to fit phase 1 GTI6, with blue illumination, let me know.

Cool
