Hello,

Having stripped a Xsara VTS beam today, i have both 21mm torsion bars up for sale. In good condition, nice and clean and they weren't seized in the arms like they normally are.

£95 posted.

I can build these into a beam for someone if needed with genuine new bearings etc, just let me know.

Al

what size are the gti 6 torsion bars? I take it that these are thicker than the 306 ones and give a stiffer rear beam? thanks tom

Yes it does, makes a very good match to something like an Eibach setup on the front.

The general formula is simple :
if X is the larger diameter of the rod &
Y is the smaller,
then X is stiffer then Y at X^4/Y^4 ,
and in the case above :
21^4/20^4~=1.215..
and thats 21.5%

I had seen the dates, hence the way I worded the question.

Nothing has been said to imply their sold, so I was asking if they were.
