I thought it was very difficult to get LOOS when you have a hybrid ARB? ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

far from it, a lot easier but should be more progressive.the way it reduces understeer is to reduce weight transfer induced roll, and although it does mean that the rear tyres are going to be flatter, it'll mean more often than not that only one rear wheel will be in contact with the road. not sure if that'll mean more grip from a flatter tyre, or less grip as its only one tyre ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Ive noticed it can be coaxed into LOOS in the wet a lot easier since fitting the hybrid ARB and agreed it is more progressive - been having great fun on roundabouts in the wet but I have ditch finders on the back and contis on the front which is definetly helping matters, will be interesting what happens when i switch them round ________________________________________ Team Peugeot Sport 308 GtiBlack T'99 Gti - may she rest in peace - written off in a shunt on the A329m |

If it waves a rear wheel depends on your front springs/dampers/ alignment tbh. Mine still does but I have be really, really trying.Right on the solid mounts yes - they'll reduce turn in speed and make loos a bit harder to initiate. Hence why I don't like them on a road car. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

On a FWD vehicle the rear end just trails around.Reducing the rear grip, will balance out the understeer. Higher tyres pressures, stiffer damping, larger anti roll bars etc will achieve this. As for tyre pressures, stick to the manufactures recommended pressure, they know what they are talking about. Rather than accelerating into corners, try braking and letting the front end raise fully before cornering, then applying a constant lock and throttle untill the apex.. Trail braking is great, but you have to be very careful at high speed or in the wet, and be ready to catch a whole heap of Lift-Off-Oversteer.. |
