Ok

i'm going to get down to giving the front calipers a good clean and replace the Boots/seals

everything I find about bleeding consists of pushing the old fluid out by pushing in the new and watching for a colour change but my question is...
The front calipers will be coming right off so am i supposed to plug the brake hose to stop the fluid coming out?
or is it ok to let the old stuff completely drain then rebuild and follow the same steps for bleeding but just wait for the new stuff to come through and push out all the air

i'm just worried about trapping any air in the system once I've empty it! Unsure

I don't like public transport and need to be ferried back to Sheffield on Saturday with a hangover - and he needs brakes that are nice to ferry!

You're gonna die!

Just tie the hoses up with a plastice bag over the end so that the master cylinder doesn't empty itself all over the floor, master cylinders can be a bas**rd to bleed

When i changed my callipers for the wilwoods, i done a fluid change aswell, basically i let most of it drain out then sucked out what was left in the res then topped up with new and started to bleed, had to bleed a few times but that was probly coz of the 4 pots!

I wouldn't let it drain completely no. Before you take the calipers off, stick some cling film over the filler neck and screw the cap on the reservoir back down - I dunno if it's an old wives tale but I did this and had hardly any fluid coming out the lines.

Brake fluid might eat through a plastic bag in no time. I used a chop stick in the flexi hose Whistle

You can buy brake hose clamps from Halfords.

some good advice there! i just ended up tying a bag tight to the end of the brake line and that did the job perfect!

it's all done now and been out for a test drive all is good and I'm still alive Bonus!
