Bit late now but you could have used the 306 8v xsi head and cam.
The xsi head has bigger diameter valves, 1mm IIRC

anyone ever used dp-engineering?

update on the engine build. cleaned all the tops of the pistons, new head gasket and head fitted..

looking good.. although scoring the pistons will do it no good as ill allow more carbon build up!

they look scored but i couldnt feel any deep scores, they felt quite smooth when i was finished

These make 180 plus easy with a diff intercooler and a 1.9gti manifold, as the 3 ive seen have anyway

well i have a nice big shiny intercooler and a 205 1.9 gti cam, as for the inlet manifold they need alot of work doing as the 205 inlets are square and the 406 8v has pear shape inlets.

nothing more done as of yet, had a few of you asking about it today at fcs. to be honist i am starting to get bord of this. getting if finished then going to get rid of it for a rallye Big grin

thanks for the loom birk, looms are getting sent of to get sorted tomorrow so hopefuly have them back for next week, just needting to get the engine in and box on this week if i have time
