hi all, i just come into ownership of a gorgous 97 gti 6 with lad motorpsort engine too boot, after a few weeks of happy thrashing, i've grown to hate the front wishbone p bushes, i was wondering if anyone new of some alternatives to the horrible standards ones, ty

yeh i found those made by lynxx garage or engineering, i was wondering if they were any other heavy duty ones, or compition ones, i reckon the bearing will die round the roads i live

Genuine Pug P bushes are probably the best you will find I think, and to be fair they are very good.

But have to be genuine ones!

I've used Motaquip ones and so far they are perfectly fine and damned cheap, they are from the same factory as peugeot/citroen items, in my opinion more than good enough on the road.

Genuine Citroen ones you want if you don't want something too harsh and want to get the 100% o.e stuff. (Peugeot don't list them separately)

Then you have Peugeot Sport harder rubber ones, bit expensive from special tuning uk, probably cheaper direct from France !

Spoox sell some half decent looking ones that are an alloy P shape with a round rubber bush pressed into them,

Then you have Rich's rigid roller bearing items.

then above that there's tubular wishbones with rose joints, Rippthrough on here does them.

Do you mean PhillipM instead of rippthrough?

I am currently using them, and I can say is they transformed the handling of the car, it drives like its on rails now. Yes

Makes the front end a lot lot stiffer, and just generally improves the overall package. Yes

I have had both types and I LOVE Rich_W bushes. They are so much better than std.
