So can you get a slightly shorter drop link from any other car or pug model? Bearing in mind I don't really want to shell out for Phils adjustable versions. Cheers

I lowered my car by around 20-30mm a while ago using the tried and tested Eibach/Bilstein combo. Works fine but it munches though drop-links in no time, presumably because they are now too long because of the drop in ride height and the joints are at a ridiculous angle. So can you get a slightly shorter drop link from any other car or pug model? Bearing in mind I don't really want to shell out for Phils adjustable versions. Cheers ________________________________________ Iceland, we wanted your cash, not your ash |

You want longer ones.I was eyeing up a Mondeo earlier on in the scrapyard (the bubble shaped one), that looked like it might have links that fit, they were a bit longer from the look of them. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Thanks for the responses, I've been using standard jobbies from ECP. The length between the ARB and the drop link mounting point is much shorter than before so the joints are almost fully compressed before you even touch a bump or go round a corner. Eventually the joint gives up and pops out of the socketPhil - you seem to be the guy in the know round here, how is a longer link going to help? ________________________________________ Iceland, we wanted your cash, not your ash |

That's what's popping your links off, IIRC Ben306 has the same problem. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
