Still looks lovely Chet.

Has anyone shouted "w*nkER" at you yet when driving with the roof off? I've had it three times now in the Elise! LOL

It's actually not been bad at all, a few people have actually said something like "nice car mate" whilst walking by, or a nod of the head, which is nice; not something I really expected.

That said, yesterday a white van driver shouted "C*NT!" as he squeezed past me yesterday, despite me having the right of way he thought he every right to carry on towards me resulting in a very tight squeeze.

Maybe he was talking to himself Laugh Cool

Well the hard top has come back on, ready for winter now...

Did anyone pick up a S2000 over the summer? I recall a few threads with some interest...

Does look great. The facelift does look much better IMO. Really like the colour and I think the Hardtop makes all the difference!

Old thread or not... what are these like to drive? Always liked the look of these cars and I don't really see many of them around.

The older ones were a bit of a handful from what i heard, liked the hedges, the facelift versions had revised suspension that resolved the problem i think.

Newer ones 2004 onwards are fine. Drive like a twat in the rain and it will still kill you though.

Very practical cars really, decentish boot size, v.reliable, 30mpg, epic sound track, epic gear box and very quick when on the boil.

s**t gear ratios though - 73mpg in second means you can only really enjoy the vtec in one or two gears legally.

Strange, must have longer gear ratios than the DC5 / EP3. I wonder why.

Ha ha, that would have been nice!

Edit: my memory is getting worse in my old age, it actually redlines at 63 in second!
