Seen this in the flesh and it looked like a dangerous piece of kit!

You need to stick it on a ferry and go driving through the Eiffel mountains in it
Thanks Jim, a drive through Europe, whether to Germany or down to South of France is pretty much the stuff of dreams right now, but you never know...
Looking forward to your next update on Rallye Project thread ...

Interested in your thoughts on the driving experience....
Speedwise, out of VTEC, it is not too dissimilar to the Rallye. If that surprises you, take a look at the [well published, within this club at least] torque figures - they are very similar between the XU10J4RS and F20C. Obviously VTEC just takes it to another level and that part of the rev range is where the majority of the 237 horses are running
.
I think all aspects of the S2000 super-seed the Rallye apart from steering feel. Coming from the Rallye, the S2000 steering feels lighter [is this essentially hydraulic power steering VS electronic power steering? I have no idea...] But it is slightly too light for my liking and as such does not provide the same level of feedback that the Rallye did. Maybe the Rallye was just too good though...
The general ride is more harsh compared to the Rallye too, I suspect because you are sitting a lot lower and rolling on 17s too. I'm sure you know all about this from when you had the Lotus...
I agree that the S doesn't 'move the game on much more in terms of speed' if coming from the Rallye. I remember being neck and neck with a S2K when I had my Rallye until past 60ish where the S2000 showed its longer leg - he must not have been VTECing though... on paper, to 60mph we are looking at 6.2 VS 6.9-7.2.
I see it as a nice balance, you can get around town quite easily but you also know you can shift pretty quickly if you take advantage of of the whole rev range. The short throw gearchanges make it a pleasure to do this and whilst others may complain about having to really rev the engine to make moves, I enjoy it....!!
On the whole, the driving experience is a lot of fun, and of course the sensation of the power coming from the wider, rear tyres is pretty damn cool

I've always wanted one of these as my next car and the hard tops on look more manly in my opinion, not that I would complain about only having a soft top either.
I thought I much preferred the hard top too, until it came off yesterday

As for the colour, love it. Has real good depth to it and being pearlescent, looks stunning when the sun is out shining
