Yet another problem with my '6 Roll eyes It's a bit of an odd one to describe too...
When switching the ignition on, the speedo dial will vibrate rapidly, whilst staying at 0. After a few seconds it will stop and settles at about 2mph. Also after starting the engine, the rev counter takes a few seconds to start working. Any ideas? Crazy

Thanks for that mate, very reassuring! Laugh my ass off Although I have to say there does seem to be quite a bit going wrong with it - already had to sort out the ICV & speedo sensor, repaired the wiper motor. Seems I'm too used to my hdi which has been fairly reliable!

your rev counter is about to pack in mine did that as well as a few other peoples on this site it springs into life once a blue moon but then i hardly ever diver her anymore!

just disconnect your battery and re-attach making sure and that the connections are nice and firm

maybe worth while investing in an engine earthing kit if you don't already have one!

and Rolandrat doesn't know anything about the 6 so don't mind him! Laugh

Welcome to our world Thumbs up

No, not yet. Although when I got back after a week away at Christmas I found the battery was almost flat, so will probably need to change that soon, will check the connections/earth points at the same time.
