Even if it is immobilised I would think it should still turn over. I'd go over all your wiring again and check that you batterry is definitely good. Possibly a knackered starter?

I'd be very careful what your doing with the car once its started. Simply putting bigger injectors in is not enough to allow you to run for any length of time. I would think it will run rich at idle and probably soot the plugs up until it wont run. Then it will run lean on boost. Thats if it will rev at all, as i'm not sure how the standard ecu/map sensor will react to positive pressure without being fetteled.

check all you power and earth cables, sounds like you could of took one off and not reconected.

to simply check the earth get a jump lead and attach it from the lifting hooks on the head to the wing. see if she starts now Smile

Gti6 doesn't use any plug leads pete. I'd initially run it with the standard plugs and see how it goes, you may need to change them for a cooler grade. Might be worth while finding out what the low boost lynx conversion uses?I think it will foul them up pretty quickly when you first get it started though, so it may run one minute then stop and not want to start again.

Crank sensor, ECU fault, or double relay behind the battery could be the problem.

Very neat work.. manifold looks nicely done.

If you wanna make sure it doesnt pop, disconnect lambda and tps and get a rising rate fuel reg on there so you can set the idle pressureYes

got it sorted was the plug at the back left hand corner of the engine bay must run fuel pump, took advice and put std injectors back in and left the charger pipe disconnected started and runs fine, but its sucking the blue silicone bend flat when i rev it thinking of inserting a couple of metal rings to support it. hopefull will map this week

See if you can replace the silicone pipe with a section of alloy tubing and a couple of cilicone connectors, will be fine then Thumbs up

hi, need you guys again the car is away at tuning but its sucking in the pipe from the intercooler to the inlet manifold, and therefore running like a pig, my theory is not enough air coming through the filter to supply the charger and is starving the engine i have reomed the filter as tempory measure and have bought a bonnet scoop to proved some o2 but what filter is going to let my baby breath, i was looking at mushroom filters on ebay remember i am on a budget dont want any 300 quid suggestions

You need to use solid pipes pete, I think you'll struggle with large lengths of silicone/rubber hose.
I didn't have this problem as I left my throttle body on the manifold and used a dump valve to release the boost when the throttle is shut. You could look at moving your throttle downstream like mine but hard pipes should solve it. I doubt your filter has much to do with it. Universal k&n's are pretty cheap though have a search on google, I think I paid about

With the Rich_W SC kit we have the same problem of collapsing silicone piping on idle.
I had the same problem at the charger outlet and solved it by putting rings of boost piping inside the affected areas.

It was only meant to be a temporary measure until I could get solid pipes made up but 6 months and 3k later it hasn't caused any problems.

At the Essex Rolling Road meet last week I noticed ballardpaul had the same problem at the inlet manifold join.

It's something we can live with. Just doesn't look great.
Smile
