Thats one shiney 6 you have there. Some nice subtle mods set it off nicely, tints are a bit on the dark side fro my liking, but the rest looks sweet.

Good choice on stereo aswell (same as mine) Thumbs up

Welcome to the club Wes. I like your car a lot.

When do you think you'll be upgrading to a Rallye?

Big grin

What's the main progression to upgrade to a Rallye?
Mainly the weight or??

Haha, I'm joking really. The members on here tend to have friendly arguments about the merits of less weight for the Rallye and less equipment vs. the higher cost.

I'd say the only benefits for a Rallye are the slightly lower weight, and not having the worry that electric windows and aircon might go wrong LOL

Anyway, as I said, I really like the look of your car so keep enjoying it Smile

Haha I thought so! LOL
Comfort is very important for me so I don't even think of putting away my nice and smooth aircon or electric window Wink
The electric-parts have been already fixed Razz

Thanks Happy
The tints on the window look darker then they really are.
On both front windows there is even a legal tint on it.

For me it's important to keep the basic lines of the 306 (if you know what I mean).
So no aftermarket bodykit or something like that.
When I'll put something on the GTI, it has to look like the basic lines.
But I have to say, I also really like the clean-style!

LHD pugs apparently handle better than RHD, because the weight of the driver is slightly offset by the engine. It's the same reason as Honda engines and gearboxes are the other way round to a lot of cars. Also on LHD 306's the clutch cable isn't as notoriously heavy, because it's a straight line to the clutch arm on the box, and doesn't get dried out by crossing near the exhaust manifold/downpipe.

After been searching for a long time for Metal Monkey dials, I finally got them Big grin
2 weeks ago all the materials arrived and last week I installed them.
With special thanks to Andrew (anderoo) for explaining how to install the dials.
I'm very happy with the result, I can now say that I'm unique in Holland with these dials Cool

Let's look at some pictures:

(scratches aren't visible with own eyes)

It's difficult to make a good pictures of the stainless steel...
In real life it looks better than on the pictures.

I spy a niche in the market selling Europeans' Mileage clocks from UK breakers so they can keep their km's down by driving miles which start off lower than 10 year old km's dials. Laugh

It's a long time ago I was here, so it's time for some new pictures/updates Wink
I didn't have that much modifications this year...
But I've visited some big shows/meetings in The Netherlands.

A few photos:

Nice and shiny Big grin

I also bought some new 17" wheels last weekend...
I'll try to put them under the car this week when my last 2 spacers arrived.
It's not a great time to put such rims under your car I know, but after trying the new wheels I'll put the steelies under the 6.

At home:

To be continued...Cool
