Right another lovely weekend and I cant help myself but play with my car. After a quick wash I stepped back and I decided my calipers needed painting...I know some people do not like red calipers as they look like there trying to be Brembos, but at least now when I do get some one day I wont have to redo my rears. Quick clean and on with the first coat. Next coat And them completed. Also had my MOT this week and it passed with 2 advisories: New gaiter on the offside drive-shaft And rear lower bushes need changing ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Hmmm... Theres a good question. Not too sure as I borrowed it off my mate, because i'm cheap; another reason why I went for red.The pot says E-Tech Engineering, the colour is Post Office Red. It came with brake cleaner in a kit. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Right quick update, couple of weeks ago I bought a set of metal monkey dials. And I am that lazy its taken me this long to update, but as I went to a meet tonight at brands hatch im in the mood to take about my car the amount of attention Rich's kit gets is unreal. So from this: To this: I need to get some white LEDs for them as there not very bright and I dont like that the needles are yellow. Pictures of my new metal boost pipes soon finally been done. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Well what a lovely day today, not! It managed to stop raining for a couple of hours so I could get out there and change my rear pads and discs. So this is only a maintenance update but as I 'uprated' them I thought I would add this in, also it was an advisory from my MOT two months ago Generally speaking my mechanical knowledge ends at putting petrol in so I am quite pleased with changing them today I think successfully. Right I opted for a set of grooved EBC discs and a set of Greenstuff pads. After they turned up I searched on here and realised that none of you like grooved discs, but I thought they looked good and i've paid for them now so they going to have to stay. So this was the old withered ones And my nice shiny new ones. Just want to say a big thanks to Welly and his FAQ on this matter as I could not have done it with out you, HAHA. Took more like Two hours though as everything was rusted and I had never done them before Quick question... Now the handbrake seems to raise more than normal, but the breaking seems to be a lot better. Well they were metal on metal before. So could this handbrake thing be right or have I done something wrong? ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

The hand brakes fine buddy! Its an automatic adjuster so takes time to set itself up! Well done it feels so much better when you've managed to do one of these jobs yourself IMO, lovely motoer by the way! ________________________________________ Team Running Engine again!Team Negative Camber! A couple of weeks ago I booked my car into Lynx to finally sort my boostpipes out, firstly I would like to thank Rich and Nick as the work they did was top notch and were very helpful. The work I got done was to change the pipework to metal as the were collapsing when the engine was on, also to mount the intercooler and oilcooler in all four corners and they raised the intercooler slightly too. So now I can have the grill off and you can see it really well Also I asked them to sort out my awful fuel consumption, before I was lucky to see 220 out of a fuel tank; now i see 350-400... The problem they found was that the ECU was fooked, so they replaced it and gave me an updated low boost map. Anyway less of the rambling and more of the pictures... And now: Very happy indeed thanks a lot Lynx!!! ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Busy weekend again, spent the Saturday in the sun working very hard. Making tea really knackers you... Want to say a big thanks for helping me Royston (Greenbelt) could not have done it without you mate Did the cv boot fianlly, so thats the advisories from the MOT sorted. Them clips were an absolute nightmare and so much for only taking an hour While this was being done Royston notice the ball joint was a bit worst for wear, so thats another job to add to the list. Never ending with these cars. The hole New one fitted And as the weather was nice I thought a full wash and wax was in order ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

No problem Paul It was good to have another look around another SC 6. And don't forget that as well as the balljoints needing replacement, you need FLAT SEATED WHEELBOLTS!!!!! ________________________________________ Standard Black 6Black HBSC6 |
