Was wondering about a manual conversion on it. Needs some new suspension too as its a bit wallow-y.

f*ck it lets sling the beast in the rallye and be done. Do-able in 2 days....?

Better get Mei on board and these mounts needed sorted asap then mate!

Maybe worth asking Carl aka mech repairs for hints/tips/pointers as he has that V6 rallye atm

I've already asked - he doesn't get it back from the bodyshop until the middle of next week. Only thing I'm not sure of is the amount that has to come out the subframe. I guess that will be trial and error.

Sourcing the flywheel is probably going to be the biggest headache.

Would be useful, but i'll ask Goliath/George if I can borrow his.

Realistically I guess we might get both engines out - the parts won't be here in time now.

Right then it has begun.

Massive thanks to Ash (ratboy), Jon (thug) and Meirion (WP) for molesting my two cars today.

They turned up on a mission, whipped the rallye engine and box out in about 3 hours whilst Meirion and I fart-arsed about comp testing (v good) the V6 and jacking it up. Took a bit more time to remove that engine with a bit of violence (poor a/c rad) and chopping.

Positive is that it looks like a decent engine, negative is that its not had the cambelt done as advertised (aux belt + tensioners though) and the muppets at Peugeot haven't changed the plugs in eons but have been charging for it. Also needed a breaker bar to get one plug out and 3x coilpack bolts off. Not impressed.

Photos will follow, but not until my phone charges up again.

Got a fair bit to ebay now and clear up tomorrow - looks like a peugeot parts bomb has hit the unit. Just waiting on a few parts and its install time. LOL

Thanks again guys!
