I am right in saying that my phase 3 '6 (99,T) has isofix on the back seats aren't I? I hope so as I have just bought an Isofix base...

Between the seat base and the seat back. In the gap..... The easiest way to see them is by lifting the seat base.

if its a Maxi cosi Easyfix base it will still fit even without ISOFIX so its not to much of an Issue as I belive Most are able to still be fitted to NON isofix cars if needed

Its not, my Sister-in-law uses one of these Maxi Cosi things with her seat belt. Its one of these that uses isofix solely (no seat belt) clicky base

then I think you may be out of luck I didn't think any 306's came with ISOfix but I have never looked on a phase 3 TBH

After a quick search on the internet it looks as though some do from 2000 onwards didn't find any GTI but hdi certainly did

No, they are black squared off 'hoops'. The goldy bolt things will be the seat belt points! Like this

They appear to be linked/connected to the solid boot floor?! There are 2 behind the main rear seats, I cannot work out why they would be there if its not isofix!

Are they right width apart to even attempt fitting an isofix base?, most cars that have isofix actually say it somewhere near the isofix lugs, we have an isofix base in my mrs x-trail as her rear belts arn't long enough to go around the baby seat but i don't have isofix in the bm but my belts are more then long enough to go around the seat without using the base, this is how it works

jon kirby has attached the following image:

Hard to tell viewing the pics on my phone but they do indeed look like isofix mounts, maybe an optional extra as you said.

Mine def doesn't have those fitted, and no 306 I've seen has either.

They appear to be spot on for isofix but there arent any labels like there normally is. when I got the 6 it had phase 1 seats and im wondering if the bench is a phase 1 too.....

My belts are definately long enough because thats how i have been doing it but its a pain in the arse with only 3 doors so the base would make life a lot easier!
