hi all, hope your weekend has been good!
i was driving to work this morning, and it seems my speedo only works when it wants! ill be driving at 30, and itll just drop off to 0 and come back up again.
its random as when it happends, so does any 1 have any recommenations of what to do?

Sounds similar to mine, although mine is only every few days or so. I think it's probably the sensor on the 'box

It COULD be a dodgy earth/negative somewhere, do any of the other instruments in the clocks go werid?

it'll be either a bad earth - check all connections to the clocks

or

busted VSS like mine, the sensor in the gearbox. you don't need a working speedo to pass an MOT so I never bothered haha

i have this samer problem does my head in!! To check the earths can i continuity it with anything like put a long lead on the other end whereever that may be?? How much is a vss sensor are they easy to change?
