People may see this as a scam or think its to much, but your offering a great service with the chassis repair, ive had to fix both my engine mount and gearbox mount before, took me a whole day to get them spot on, so for you to do it in a few hours is realy good, they dont understand the time, effort and materials that go into the jobs aye.

Well most people have been very positive about the work I have done. As for those who feel it's a little steep, I suggest a call round to a few MOT welding garages and be prepared to have your pants pulled down for a job that in many cases seems to fail again farly soon after.

Your work looks top notch Jim, don't get too disheartened by a few negative comments, i'm sure there are many more happy customers who simply dont voice their opinions of your quality of work or services Thumbs up

Happy with my beam mounts, went out for a test drive earlier and the car feels much better, not surprising as one of the old mounts was totally knackered. Still got the knock coming from the front suspension when I hit a bump, which is starting to do my head in tbh, as the rest of the car is now spot on Thumbs up

Thanks for that fellas, I don't mean to come accross negatively and really appreciate all the work you chaps from forum have decided to put my way. I was having a bad day yesterday and was in no mood to deal with criticisim (Percieved or otherwise) Sorry for loosing mt temper, but I do a damn good job on those mounts at a very fair price. And I flatly refuse to accept that paying over the top for mounts that were going in the bin anyway is something I should have to do as well, it does'nt earn me any more money, just keeps supply going trough faster.

That's my thoughts on the matter.

Rant over LOL

One of my rallyes has skip brown mounts on it, the fronts are exactly as you make and the rears are alloy as per the 205 ones, you've got to make a profit or what's the point in bothering, are you really stopping making them cos if you are I may take a set while I can

I'll be continuing for the foreseeable future, I was having a bad day and flew off the handle a little bit. Normal service is now resumed Smile

Just a reminder guys, please don't forget to enclose your details with any old mounts returned for credit, (Forum name and real name please) then there are no mistakes with the credits, many thanks.

Nice one Idnan, thanks for the speedy turnaround, I'll keep an eye out for the mounts in the post. And thanks for the writeup you did, much appreciated.

I need to sell a few more soon, just had a bill for £1,850 land on my doormat for my headwork Shock Crazy

No probs mate, I'm very happy with the mounts and I'm sure many more people will be in the future.

Bad luck on the bill, I thought I had it bad. Same day I fitted the mounts I found out both my front brakes were sticking, one bald tyre and my engine is making funny noises. I guess I'm lucky I don't really need to be driving it right now.

don't knock it on the head just because of others. its a fair deal what you're doing, and cheap. you can buy bread in most supermarkets, doesn't mean one shop stops selling it. i was going to whip mine off tonight but my cage has prevented me Doh time to find my deep sockets!

No rush Rick, I have stacks of work on at the moment, in fact I'm still in the shop now, just finished welding up some watercooled heatsinks for thermal management on some warship or other. The other firm that did them first welded all the brackets on p*ssed, so I've been given the job of cutting them all off and welding them back on less p*ssed!

took 3 of 4 off of mine tonight, one bolt from the passenger side won't slide free from the bottom mount pin hole as it's hitting the trailing arm so needs about 5mm grinding off one side, i'll whip it off tomorrow + post them

You are a star, I'd better get some more material cut ready for all these old mounts coming back in now. And if you see a pillar of black smoke rising from central Southampton don't shop me to the fire brigade LOL

I've got one set made at the moment but they are for Funkymonk, and two sets of old mounts to make new ones with, work is pretty busy though at the moment so probably at least a week before I have any more sets ready.
