I know its not a 306, but i thought id post some pictures up of my new day to day car, something nice to drive around in whilst not messing about with the track shed Whistle

Now i'm not the greatest fan of Golfs, but well, sometimes you need to give things a better chance i suppose, especially when the deal is good Wink

So, here are my initial thoughts, done 2500 miles so far in 2

I don't know, i think they throw back to the early golf interiors. Not a bad thing IMO.

Considerably less ...

1st car i've owned where Super Unleaded makes such a huge difference as well.

28mpg on pikey fuel vs 33mpg on the good stuff Blink drives far better now as well Big grin

Very nice. Did you need five doors though?

Not really, wasnt even looking for a golf specically tbh. This was a good deal so i had it ... parking spaces are very narrow at work, so its actually far better than the 3dr for getting in & out the car lol.

Enjoying the practicality if im honest, you fit a cage, 4 wheels & a saxo interior in it with ease Whistle

Owned one of these! 3 door white gti tho.

Sold it couple of months ago. Great car but god they drink fuel. I averaged about 22mpg commuting around york. Costly in fuel.

Interior reminded me of visiting my nans house!!!

Have fun

Thumbs up

Are they taking the p*ss with the gearknob? Is that why the call them a Golf? Because the knob is pitted like a f*cking golf ball?

Laugh my ass off Dog shit gearbox

I hate them, I brought a gti over to Knaresborough from leeds and it had one, Put your foot down to overtake and it drops 3 gears starts you off top end of the limiter Roll eyes

I like the paddle shifts though Cool

You any plans for it Dave apart from transporting saxo bits in? Laugh

Not fond on the interiors as with 90% of new cars, but I love the styling of these exterior wise, nicest shape golfs since the mk2!

Decked on bigger rims FTW!

The seats aren't great but does it really matter, I really like these, really good solid cars with lovely wheels! The best mk5, better than an r32!
