A friend of mine mentioned about these brake pads as they are used alot on some jap track cars. I had a look and they dont do any for the 306 so i have emailed them to see if there was enough interest if it was something they would start to make.Anyone interested? clicky ________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |

Ok so i have had a response from Carbotech on pads for the 6.The resons is as follows: Hi Mark, Thanks for your email, we have done a couple of sets of these with good results I believe, as we couldn't obtain new backing plates we have had to reline customers old pads or buy new cheap pads to strip and reline, this I think is going to be the only way of doing these as our backing plate supplier cant get the new blank plates/clips without us ordering 300+... If we could get a couple of sets of old pads from club members before they chuck them away we could operate on an exchange/surcharge basis which should work ok, we can have pads ready/or ready to be made up and send them out as requested, then we either charge a surcharge for replacing from motor factors ( approx ________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |

Yep, great pads, he's doing ours for the buggy, I was going to have some made for the '6 and supply Ian with the backing pads, but there wasn't much interest.________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Anyway, depends on the price for the exchange, but if you let Ian know that Phill with the buggy can still have the backing plates made up if need be, I'll have to cost them up but should be cheaper than buying 'em. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. That sounds like an interesting option for my wilwoods. Anyone know what their turnaround time is though as I only have one set of pads.________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

well from what Ian told me they arent strickly road leagal as in the arent EU R90 approved but thats cos they perform more than +15% better than OEM pads. i would say they are fine obviously there are different compounds ranging from fast road to track.________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |

I don't think there are any road legal pads for wilwoods so that isn't an issue. That is good. I am quite interested. I wonder if they would negotiate a group buy. I also have a spare set of GTI-6 pads they can bas**rdise the backing pads off if it helps someone.________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

Well if we can get enough people interested can ask them and see if they would consider a group buy. ________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |
