[quote="jcooper776]I take it the whole thing is fully waterproof in case of spray or water getting in?

Also, I am going to order some 501 side light blue bulbs from you. I was looking at the "T10 W5W Ultra Bright 5 SMD LED's 12V car bulbs - Blue"

Will these fit straight in as a replacement for my current ones?

Thanks

They are water proof to some degree so they can take a 'splashing' and be fine.

The 501 LED lights are a direct replacement and can be fitted in under 2 minutes.....and I've just noticed you've bought some.Thumbs up

they look quite cool actually what kit did you buy jcooper and how much? i dont want my headlights to be really really blue! are they legal?

Jcooper bought a 8000k kit. If you would like them to be 'less' blue then I would suggest either a 6000k kit or even a 4300k kit (OE look).

Thanks.

Just placed my order for a 6000k hid kit and some ultra bright white LED sidelight bulbs.

Hope they are as easy to fit as other folks have found.

Very easy I found once I had worked out what went where. Don't bother with the instructions they only confuse things LOL

I just laid all the bits out on the floor to see how they connected up. You can't really do it wrong as the wrong parts don't fit together.

I posted a picture on the previous page if you need it. (The box with "decoder" written on it isn't needed for these cars so you can leave that bit out).

Cheers James. Did you have to get the headlamp aim adjusted after you fitted yours at all?

Just fitted my 6000k HID kit, along with the LED sidelamp bulbs. As james has suggested its easier to fit just by common sense, it took me 15 mins a side, including the time to drill the 25mm hole in the back cover of the headlamps.

With the ballasts i used strong doublesided foam trim tape to secure them to the inner wing areas.

The drivers balasts a bit fiddly to find a home for because theres so much stuff in that corner of the bay. I unscrewed the washer bottle filler nect to give my big man hands more room.

The difference between the HID and normal bulbs is amazing, the normal bulbs look all yellowy and dull compared to the white light ive now got.

Overall very impressed so far.

i'm onto my second set and one of the ballasts is acting lazy unless there's a current issue with the power supplied not enough for powering the unit up, but it only does it on one side so i'm guessing they are shit quality ballasts. second set aswell now, can't see anyone else having these issues on here?

just been reading about one going direct to battery but see no method of doing this? everything is self explanatory - 2x bulbs, 2x ballasts and they just plug into the existing bulb plug terminals so no way to get them to be connected to the battery directly.. unless other car's kits are different..

edit> my kit is not off matt LOL

still people on here talking about their kiet's who haven't got them off him

seller just told me to try trial and error for checking ballast and powering it direct to battery, no idea if it'll make a difference but will try after

Hi Matt.

I purchased the set of HID's you have listed however it takes two attempts to turn them on.

Please can you help with THIS problem?

I'm on holiday soon so when I get back I'd like to sort it out. Might have to return the kit in exchange for a non faulty one? If this is the case can I put a deposit down on a new set, then I can swap them over and send back the old set, once you receive the old set you can refund me the deposit?

Thanks,

James

Bump.

Top product!

At first I purchased the standard set from here:
http://www.hq-auto-lighting.co.uk/hid-xenon-conversion-kit-h7/

Worked ok however it always took a couple of attempts to work. I spoke to Matt and did a swap out deal as I think it was a fault with the product.

So what I did was purchased this new canbus kit: http://www.hq-auto-lighting.co.uk/new-hid-xenon--canbus-conversion-kit--h7/

It was about £5 more after the discount but has built-in tech which solves a couple of issues. And it works perfectly first time everytime.

Just want to pass on my thanks to Matt who helped me complete the swap out deal (purchased the new one then sent old one back for full refund)

Top guy customer service.

Thanks again,

Edit: Sorry MattWhistle

I just want to give a big thumbs up Thumbs up to this product. Arrived quickly. Easy to fit and no problems (just yet).

It took me no more that 20mins to do both sides - although the beam did need adjusting a fair bit.
