i have taken my omp strut brace off and my car seems to handle better???? it turns in better , less understeer , just feels generally better?? has anyone else had this or am i just imagining things??

the only downside ive noticed is the dash rattles more

Might be that the bit of flex in the chassis is helping absorb the initial shock along with the tyres then and letting you get away with it.
Generally they benefit people who are smoother on turn in more than someone who throws it in, but you must be abusing the poor girl for it to be better without it LOL
Put it back on, drop the front tyre pressures 2-3psi and try again...

Should do, there's a fair bit of camber change on the lower subframe which doesn't help the turn in, it twists across the front legs on the spot welds.
Stitch-welding it helps too.

No, pulling in is it's purpose LOL

The outer strut is the most loaded during cornering, the wheel tries to pivot around the balljoint, pulling the top of the strut outwards and giving positive camber gain...
