Well, the head gasket has gone on the dimma

I was hoping it would last, but in truth, im kinda glad its gone, means i can repair it and have an engine that doesnt overheat when i want to give it the loud pedal, pretty dissapointed i dont have enough funds to highboost it, but as this is my only car im insured on, i shall have to do this and just wait untill i can rebuild my spare engine.

Going to make a start on it tommorrow morning, never done one before, but cant be that hard aye.

'S nearly as reliable as the Brava that Dimma.


(which, incidentally, has just thrown a driveshaft through the diff, ffs)

It aint that hard mate just take your time removing bits,labeling up as you go along and take your time.

Only tricky thing ive come across is the far left headbolt as its under the master cylinder but a homecraftet socket and extension sorted that out Thumbs up

No wonder it went, got some shitty composite gasket fitted, get an OEM MLS item in there!!

Well the gasket is from bullseye, a local motor factors, apparently uprated, not sure how though, but i know a lad who works there, so got a bit of discount on all the bits i bought Smile

Got the head back today, got it put on and realised that one of the headbolt washers was missing, so had to stop the build for tonight untill i source another one, can i get them from pug ?

She is indeed, got her working yesterday, but its developed a small water leak on the bottom rad hose seal, so should have that sorted 2moz dinner time when i get a new one, then i can take her for a spin Smile

No, no, what I do, is order them in in full working order, then end up with a big box of bits.
