good stuff... you know mine was available after our convo.. but carls is a fine example..

I'd change the map sensor for a cossie one (place after charger) if i were you.... not a good idea to map on vacuum and calculated boost if you've not done it before.

My ECU will read the stock MAP sensor, but also has a 2.5bar one built in. You just switch a jumper inside to choose which one you're using, so for non-boosted cars use the car one, and for turbo/'charger cars flick it over to the onboard MAP and map up to 21psi. If you want more boost than 21psi, I can fit a 400kPA one!!

Kind regards

If i were to buy a unit of you, would u consider me being a seller for your ecus in wales? I have spent 100's of hours researching ECU's adn stand alone management that is far from plug in and play. I have a S2.5 gti-6 and i have been looking at an after market ECU that plugs in. In regards to the remapping could u send the software out so i can do it my self?
My problem is that i race my 306 but as it is at the moment its not economical but its stupidly fast but to pop down t he shop and get milk its not funny having to put a

Ok - thread revival...

Hi there everyone, been a bit of a mental year my end (long story), but now got round to finalising the 306GTi PnP ECU!

I'm in need of someone near Southampton to allow me to hook it up to their car and do some testing!

I used Carl @ C&G last year so I don't want to go nagging him again if there is someone nearby to help out Smile

Hope someone can help!!

Obviously whoever helps will get a really good deal on a finished unit. PM me if you're interested Smile

Kind regards

Hi all,

Just a quick update. I got the test-ECU working using the VR crank signal and CAM signal correctly. I've got the engine running, and I've got it running in sequential Coil On Plug ignition.

I'm just getting a couple of parts together to make the injection sequential too then the tests will be completed and the ECU ready to be made.

Yay! I'm starting to get excited!

There will soon be a Plug and Play 306 GTi-6 ECU running Sequential injection and Sequential COP, with launch control/flatshift, switchable maps and boost control available. Oh, it runs the stock idle controller too... and has a 250kPA MAP sensor onboard Smile

If anyone thinks I'm missing something, now is the time to float the idea!! Before I make a batch of them Smile

Will give more updates soon!

not using the stock o.e MAP? might be worth adding the capability for those using boost, as the 250 kpa onboard wont cope with 1 bar+ of boost will it?

sounds top notch otherwise, mapped up yet?

Hi,

yeah forgot to mention, the car's MAP sensor can be used, *and* the ECU is fitted with a 250kPA on for user choice, and it's switchable between them, so if boosted then use the ECU's one, otherwise the car's one is fine.

The ECU one will read and can be mapped up to 21psi positive boost. Other higher value sensors can be fitted to special order though, and calibrated, since the map sensor stage takes different 'innerds'

Mapping tomorrow...

Keep the questions coming, don't want to miss anything!!

Ralyeash,

I tend to make PnP ECU's to prevent having to making wiring looms!

Seriously though, it's not something I've ever got into? What do you need making?

And also, speaking of mappers.. have you thought of contacting Ecosse? I know rich W has spoken to them regarding his supercharger kits, they may be interested in PnP ECU's and mapping too. Not sure if Rich has offered a preferred management system to them though..?

Would be handy for us boys north of the border too Yes

I had a look on his website and he is doing the 106 ecu's for £550 + £75 for mapping and fitting which i think is pretty good. Not sure if this includes a rolling road session tho.
