I have fitted the hoffmans sports cat I got of pete-gti this evening. Smile The car rev's a bit more freely, also sounds a bit louder through the mongoose Stainless. But I like it. Smile So I should have the power of a de-cat but the car is MOT friendly. Thumbs up Cheers Pete for the bargin of the year. Smile

Had the cars emmisions checked this afternoon, Passed fine. Thumbs up took a while for the CO2 to come into limits though, is this normal for the Rallye/GTi6 engines? As I think it was the same with the standard CAT to.

Did you have any problems with the cat/manifold joint blowing? What exhaust fitting kit did you use, was it the genuine peugeot set?

I have had a few issues, but since i fitted a proflex lower engine mount the engine moves less and doesn't wear out the donut in the manifold to cat join. Smile

I would say decat.

My insurer told me I had to have a soprts cat. 2 failed over teh space of a year. Allesclar's sports cat failed as well.

The LBSC-6 seems to knacker them.

under £100 for a magnaflow one.

So if you own a decat allready quite abit cheaper.

Talking to the insurance assesor when my 309 got wrote off he said a cat is one of the first things they look for, especially if car has mods/after market exhaust.

Hmm

Does the car still do the odd backfire with a sports cat or is it like going back to blandness?
