na, he was sat on some tires welding my engine bay, when a tack cloth cuaght on fire, i found it very funny, Jim never, his balls got rather warm

Well, this is the tunnel brace tube, and the only thing it needs to meet and be welded to at each end, is their own main hoop, so there's no way that would be wrong right?



And it had just as much of a gap the other side too LOL

Most of it - bar where the worst ones were - i.e. two or more tubes meeting at one point, which they'd left unprofiled.

car is back here with everything in, despite all the setbacks and problems phil and ed have done this a treat and it looks very well. will get some pics up possibly tomorrow, see how far i get on with getting the dash cut and in tonight.. LOL

got car back today in a dire need of a clean:


spent all day on it cleaning it and giving it a brief lick of paint [tidily ofcourse!] and sealed up some areas with silicon sealer to prevent water ingress

almost done:

still gotta chop the dash up tomorrow which i am really not looking forward to, and get some seatbars welded in but that can wait till i'm happy with everything else. then it's back to wiring and whatnot

edit> to be fair since matt dropped it off i've been in the garage LOL it's really tidy, might look rushed-painted in the pics but it's been masked up and done properly with even coats etc

edit2> found a drill bit and some welding gun end thingy.. LOL

missus even got stuck in and volunteer to hoover it!

how'd you get the sticky shit off the floor pan, i tried with a hammer and chisel - needless to say i gave up after managing to lift up about 1.7cm squared
