Looks nice.

Why do you have the back of the bonnet propped up like that?

It's a standard 205 downpipe with the split going down the middle, it opened up a bit LOL:

Was getting somewhere:

All torque'd up

Windage tray and oilpump

New chain and sprocket

Dipstick pipe

Crank seals

End plate and sprocket cover fitted

Sump on

Pipes and sensors on

Went to fit the water pump and found this:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angry: Angry: Angry: Angry: Angry:

Really really really p*ssed off, I think this could of been damaged a while back in my shed, or Ryan's garage as it's changed hands a few times. Hard to pin point as it's been lying about for years. My step dad could of thrown something in the shed ages ago in a tantrum (because of my pug bits taking over LOLSmile and it's gone unnoticed til now.

Again another mistake i've learnt my lesson from, always double and triple check condition of parts. I've got another block in the pipeline I believe which i'll be picking up Friday. Fingers crossed.

Shiny bits Smile

Stripped it all down last night, everything's back out. But my mate managed to drop the main end bearings.. d'oh! Better go buy some new ones.

Sorting out the bay rust, wire brush wheel and kurust ftw! Luckily no holes just surface rust, front panels in one piece! Smile

This area looked quite bad but it's come up well. Dug out the sealant in the corner to make sure it was ok and it was Smile

Gave the discs I got off Anthony a clean as they were sat outside in the rain for too long. Came up well.

Rusty battery tray unrusted Smile

And this thing living in the shed getting high off the paint fumes. Lovely colours

Found some rust after a bit of prodding Sad Cut it out, just got to bend a bit of metal and weld it in.

Painted the servo black, much better Smile

Finished the other inner wing

Crank in (again)

Sump on (again)

This is on the wall at work, tempted to pocket it LOL:

Repair plate for inner wing

New shocks

Head on and torqued

Brackets, pipes and sensors on

Shiny bits

Belt next, ive tapped the threads to clean them up and the idler is already torqued! The correct grade bolt used and awaiting another tensioner bolt as mine was rouded slightly fingers crossed it will turn up tomorow

Stud and nut?

Or bolt?

Little bushe thing

Exhaust manifold on, had to tap a few holes as the threads were a little buggered

Shiny alternator

Need some jubilees

Squawk!

Timing belt done

Mocked up the tensioner setup- Still awaiting my lightened bottom pulley Angry:

Throttle body on, going to blank off the oil recirculation pipe on the body. Pics soon

No too happy with these hub bolts way too bloody long

Due to this:

I now have these:

Fitted

Cam cover

Blanking plate, thorttle body heater and oil recirculation bit removed. catch tank to be fitted.

Couple of jubilee clips to fit and the engine ready to go in Smile

Mega update

Well happy birthday for tomorrow mate, could do with a hand lifting engine tonight Wink
Now go cut some hair you pansy LOL

I looked at the jubilees in halfords, turned away and went to b and q next door and bought some decent ones that actually tighten up. Spent £20 on them, got enough to do whole car.

Inlet on and torqued up, loom connected

Which way does this go up? LOL: my mate is convinced its the opposite way to what I had it.

Cold air intake mocked up

Underside rust removed and waxoil'd

Fancy hub nuts Smile

Reflective lagging tape to keep the heat away, just an experiment see if it works

Intake on and secured.... with cable ties

Exhaust on

Sneaky back box

Dash back together need to sort out coin tray unless someone has one spare in black...

Damn it looks red on camera, far from the reality!

Just to lower the beam and install the brake bias valve. Also the MOT tester pointed out that the rear OS was weeping slightly so will remake that.

Also will be getting rid of the blanking plate, perspex and sunroof trims back on, or carbon skin Smile

Finishing touches Smile

Looking like a real car again Smile

Lowered rear today to match the front, looks much better Smile

Make shift bar puller, worked nicely Smile

No wonder my rear brakes were acting odd, I had the disc on the left (205) on the back instead of 306 (RHD) on. You can notice the offset clearly. I had no idea of this when these went on over a year ago, mind you other factors came into play Roll eyes: A thread a while back bought this to my attention and though I better sort it.

Catch tank in place Smile Gave it a clean as there was loads of crap in there.

Fitted up the wilwood brake bias valve and the made some new rear trailing arm brake lines.
I have opted to ditch the extra flexi going into the caliper, the 6 doesn't run this so in my eyes 1 more less joint to leak/fail (hopefully not!)

Just to bleed the system now Smile

New braided flexi's off Hovis Smile

Makeshift tracking devce Smile

Got it parrellel for the meanwhile, will get it set properly when it's fully on road Smile
