You can't compare Longlife and H&S though. Different leagues. Good choice.
Yeah my Longlife is rather loud too
Look forward to seeing this exhaust on Saturday Chris

cheers John, I had already guessed that was the cause of the cars belt eating habit, so I bought some new spacers a few weeks ago and fitted them while I was out in Germany. I was just trying to get away with not having to change them (plus I couldn't find the part numbers for them either initially)So far its not thrown another one. /touchwood I do have enough extra spacers for another sump if someone else needs a set..... ________________________________________ Long live the Sigma 6Team Phase 1 supercharged XBL ID: farmer uk1 |

I keep forgetting to get the pics of these bloody spacers!Ill try and get round to it tomorrow if I get a chance. Wont be doing much work myself on the house as I have put my neck out But I do have my old man coming over to do some plastering so I may not be able to. Anyway, had the car weighed this weekend. Not overly happy with what it came out to, but there is still room for improvement. Started off at 1230 Kgs when I bought it. As it stands now, with cyclones it came to 1080 Kgs. I can lose some of that weight straight away by swapping to the Pro Race 1.2's and fitting the AP 4pots (10 Kgs im guessing ) Taking the angle grinder to the excess bits of metal in the car and skinning the bonnet should be another 10 Kgs. And then replacing the side windows for polycarbs, who knows So I know that 1050 Kgs should be easily attainable. Just going to have to work hard to get to the magic 1000 Kgs I think... Anyway, some pics of the Hayward & Scott: Awesome welds: Need better pics I know, but they are all I have got so far. Been more interested in making it make noise then taking pics of it It gets better sounding with every drive out, its starting to soot up a bit now and so is starting to occasionaly pop now ________________________________________ Long live the Sigma 6Team Phase 1 supercharged XBL ID: farmer uk1 |

wow you only made 1080? something isnt right there? how much does your cage weigh? i think we need to get both of ours on the same weigh bridge, see what the story is, although thinking of it, you have extra weight in the way of charger and kit, cage , cyclones, wheels are 32kgs give or take, cage 30-40kg's, charger kit 10kg?? im certain without those things youd be damn near 1000kg's but its all good as you have 250 odd BHP LOL |

Your car was weighed with only ¼ of a tank of fuel though, whereas mine was brimmed.Thats about another 30 Kgs of weight in fuel there. I would have thought the cage only weighed in at about 25-30 Kgs seeing as the custom cages' cage comes in at about 45 Kgs and there is shit loads to that. Not too sure if the charger would add much weight tbh, as you ditch the a/c stuff to fit it and the compressor weighs a fair bit. ________________________________________ Long live the Sigma 6Team Phase 1 supercharged XBL ID: farmer uk1 |

I'm sure if you take an average on a few weighbridges you won't be far off the tonne Chris. Mine was 1080kgs with buckets, no cage, air con, some tools and fuel. |

Have now trial fitted my new brake setup tonight It comprises of AP Racing CP3307 calipers, 310mm x 28mm rotors all under 15" TD Pro Race 1.2 wheels Big thanks to Pete rallye for sorting out getting the bells made for me! Now I just need to sort out getting the cyclones spacered off sensibly to fit over them, or if its not a sensible spacing then a new set of 15's Now, as I have been having a few people ask about the sump spacers for the PAS bracket on the s/c conversion, I will put up pics of the spacers on here, and the part numbers I used as a reference for anyone that needs them. On the left the pair are: 6453AR and the right pair are: 6453CJ You need all 4 of these spacers. My local Pug would only sell bagged quantities of each, so I ended up with 5 * AR and 4 * CJ, costing about ________________________________________ Long live the Sigma 6Team Phase 1 supercharged XBL ID: farmer uk1 |

Mab, sorry for the late reply, Birk had my spare set of spacers off me, so im afraid I dont have a spare set now.I now have a working boost gauge in my car Although I cant actually see what its reading from the driving position the 0 - 15 PSI on the gauge is obscured from my view by the rim so I will have to fart about with it so I can angle it up a bit. ________________________________________ Long live the Sigma 6Team Phase 1 supercharged XBL ID: farmer uk1 |
