ive got to carpet the tunnel and give it a good hoover then thats the inside out of the way.

iv bought an engine from david1519 that has been stripped down. the bottom end has been sent off to coltech race engines to have a rebuild.

as i make walls flat for a living im not all that mechanical minded, so a friend of mine has kindly given me a space in his unit with close supervision with building this engine. for some reason he has a intrest in vauxhalls! i thought i would give his project a mention as you eagle eyed lot will probley spot his project in some of the pics anyways.

the plans for the engine are

jenvey throttle bodies
mega squirt ecu
piper ultimate road cams
ported and polished head
vernier pullies
rich w lightwieght flywheel
rich w alloy bottom pulley
all on a fresh bottom end

iv got a ported and polished head from carl (mechanical_repairs) and i was pleased to see the difference between heads.

im just using everyone elses as a guideline, most people on here with throttle bodies and cams dont see more than 210

its being mapped at engine advantages in chelmsford. i cant remember the the valve timing off the top of my head mate.

I quite like those discs, what are they?

Looks like a top job with the carpet, do you know how much weight that will add as Im tempted to do that when I eventually strip mine

the carpet didnt weigh much at all mate, its worth doing just to deaden the sound.

the front was lowered 40mm but IMO still looked rather high, so i went for gmax -60mm. the rallye will probley never see a track so i didnt want to spent a massive amount on suspension.
