Getting the right RAC guy answering your call-out can make all the difference - I was in an old school car once and if it had been a young guy raised on modules and diagnostic testers, we'd have been f*cked.. as it was the guy wasn't so hot on ECUs but he knew his way around a pair of solex carbs and an old pushrod fuel pump like the back of his hand.

Out of interest - how many miles would you say you did on the belt? I keep hearing stories of people going through them, I've done about 3000 miles on mine so far.. fingers crossed!

If the top hats on the sump are there, you should get quite a bit of life out of the belt. I've done 6k on mine and all is well.
