Well the block started off as a unit i had in stock but had some scores down the bore's due to low engine oil, as the block had to be re bored to 86.5mm from the standard 86mm this was no worries and the block was sent away to have the rebore carried out, it came back after having the rebore carried out and the block decked for trueness- (Pictures not showing it decked, had to send the block back, they forgot)

Then i set about building up the pistons and the rods, fitted all the rings to the pistons then set about fitting the rods, rods are forged and the pistons are low comp units-

Nows the time to fit the nice shiny crank to the block, this has been spun up and checked and had the journals polished and new bearings fitted, the red you can see is a special coating that stops the bare metal from corroded as in this state just damp in the air can make them start to rust-
