Over the last few months Ive noticed my loud pedal has been getting increasingly stiff.Would a new cable sort this?

Using it more often would cure this. Wink LOL

On a serious note, I would have thought lubing it would probably improve it.

You probably right,the damn thing never gets driven anymore LOL

Take the cable off the butterfly, hold it vertical and tip a load of 3n1 oil down its neck - don't use the aerosol it goes everywhere and doesn't cure it - then just work the cable in and out while tipping more oil in (will make a small mess Whistle ) and you'll feel it free off.

I just sprayed underneath the butterfly with DW40. Worked a treat, I nearly put my foot through the floor when I got back in.

after a 'search' i found this thread Wink

my loud pedal was either on or off and no inbetween Sad

so this morning i disconnected the cable and hung it from the open bonnet, while i let some 3in1 run down the cable.

after a while i eased the cable back and too in it's outer sleeve, and re-connected

my 6 drives like a different car Big grin
