Well the next stage I wasn't going to document because its seriously boring... but:

It involved Autoglym wax stuff which was to be applied after a polish. I did it all, came up absolutely amazing and I'm very happy.

Then something weird happened, the sky went very dark, then very red as the sun went down. Perfect:

I took loads more, some are just unreal. Maybe I'll save them for my calender entry.... Cool

Bit of a pointless update but I wated everyone to see this amazing sunset we had tonight over Rumburgh.

Ok, a bit of an update. I took the car for an appointment with a man who had a spray gun...

Dropped it off on Monday morning, picked it up on Wednesday evening and got busy fitting the newly sprayed bits.

Start with the fuel caps:

And the spoiler:

Then side skirts and phase 3 bump strips (yes Jon, inferior phase 3)

Its all done now, concentrate on cleaning it!! Laugh

Been busy fitting some Rainbow SLX265 Deluxe front components:

I decided to fit the tweeters in the mirror covers:

Then to get the old crappy Alpines out:

Then allowed me to get the door card off:

I had to cut the door card to get the speaker in:

Not only that, I had to make a spacer out of lovely MDF:

I used the original speaker wiring because I wanted to keep it nice and hidden and standard looking. Not ideal, would have been better using thicker wire.

Then get the door card back on:

Almost there:

And here it is, all done, amped up too and sounds fantastic! Punchy as you like Happy

Where have you fitted that amp? (been thinking about amping my front speakers) is it behind the door cards?

Does the spacer actually stop the speaker grill hitting the speaker?
Mine has a bit of trouble going on and its also not sealed properly..

LOL well actually..... the grill fits on fine apart from one part, see where the red arrow is, there's about a 3mm gap behind the grill where it doesn't fit perfectly Roll eyes

Was a bit upset about that, and "was" planning to sand down the spacer to make it a little thinner. But the speaker cover is solid none the less so I'll wait and see how it goes before I do anything drastic!
