The 205 doesnt have the bit that stops the engine coming up as standard, and my 205 with a 6 engine in has never had a problem even after 4 years of hard track use.

I understand what you are all saying but we are all different, so not everything will be to everyones taste, but Im building it for me so even if no one liked it then, hay never mind!Razz

bit more done but theres still loads to do! It may have to go to pugfest on a trailer at this rate!, I have only 3 Sundays left to do it, sadly can do much in the week dam customers keep booking too many cars in! Got at least 3 weeks work here now!

Anyway fan housing trimmed and lightened;

before;

after;

and then fitted along with the front panel;

air filter in;

whats the plan with the bmc? route a pipe from the bulkhead back to the front scoop? or down + under the box and to the foglight area or something?

had one and looked very restrictive bending the pipe so much, f*cked it off and sold it

Feeding the BMC is proving a problem, finding a pipe that will do the job is also a problem, like you say I had planned to feed it from the slam panel scoop.

i was going to buy a 180 degree silicon bend to connect right to the other end of the bmc, then it's directed back the right way - and then some convoluted tubing onto there rihgt to the slam. fusebox got in the way though, a bit. all my stuff is inside the car now but i've still fecked the bmc off, was serious headache and i dont do headache LOL

yes I know trailers are slow, but customers cars must come first, got to pay for this build some howLOL

Anyway found out today that the DVLA want to inspect the car before they will take the PEU680 plate off and put the PEU680T one on! So thats going to be a pain to get it to the local DVLA office and back, plus are they going to be picky that the car is now yellow and not white as the log book says and the fact the letter also says a complete car must be brought along for inspection!

Sorted the BMC cold air feed today using 70mm pipe bought from Demon Tweaks and by using a turbo diesel slam panel trumpet which has had a hole cut above the grille line to force feed cold air in;

My new light wieght washer bottle, due to the fact no splash guards are going to be fitted;

New place for the horn for the same reason;

Radiator fitted, but I have done away with the stupid metal clips that never hold the rad properly, so now the cowling bolts direct to the front panel then I have drill 4 small holes along the top lip of the rad and cowling and cable tied the rad in place.

its not as bad as it looks in the pic, the pipe is not kinked or squashed so should not be restricted.

that pic does make it look crap!

The wheels really decided the car, cant not use the proper BTCC wheels really, its have mega expesive Dunlop road legal slicks to match the stickers aswell!
