Congrats Carl, I could sit and look at that engine bay for hours, it looks so.........standard if you know what i mean. Only thing that gives it away is the red block.
looks really, really nice.
About the ride height, I like it as it is... looks standard, fits with the ethos of the car. An out of the factory 205 gti6.

Mine has now got a diagnostics port fitted to it too. A ex-Peugeot mechanic at my local garage has been looking after my 205 GTi6 since it came back. He fitted the port and did various other things to it, including solving the issue that turned out to be the lambda heater wires.

It hasn't been looking after we really - every time I look away from it it just uses it as an excuse to break itself. LOL

Well a great update to add today, as i went away for a few days i decided to come home a day early so i could get at least one of the cars working, got up this morning at 10 and set at the 205, started with this, covered in dust and general garage crap-

As you can see the dash needs putting back together all the wires needed clipping back together and tidying up-

After an hour or so i had managed this-

I then decided to give it a wash, as i was washing it i noticed the paintwork felt very rough, out popped the clay bar and i clayed the complete car to reveal it was covered in alot of red stuff, perhaps overspray, unsure where it has come from.-

After a clean and a wipe down i set about removing the snapped bolt in the drivers lower wing so i can attach my mudflap, with this all done i though it was worth a photo outside the garage-

I then went on a hundred mile drive, went into local villages then out towrds Coventry, it's amazing what buildings seem to pop up out of nowhere.

I then have just pulled up outside home and took a few snaps, need a few little niggly bits sorted then it is well and truly finished, have to say it has a great punch to it and it all seems worth the one year build.

Photos will be added later.

Carl

Well when i had a iron block 2 ltr, the engine in my 205 was always too hot for my liking, the head gasket went due to this. So i'm going to put a 205 diesel turbo rad in, it much thicker, then fit a twin fan set up with the second fan on a seperate switch for when the summer comes as having engine to cold ant no good either!

Bit of a bump but I am now in two minds whether to supercharge this, I have a kit knocking about and I think it's rude not too, the only issues I may face is where to locate the intercooler as the 205 is sure short on space at the front.

    Watch this space.

The man shed should be done within four weeks and as you can imagine I am looking for something to do in there, I think this really fits the bill.

I like the man shed now we know its first use.

Others have fitted a supercharger in a 205, so im sure you will be able to fit it well enough, might have to have it sticking out in the grill hole of the lower valance.

Its only a Lion heart transplant, not a total cut and chop plastic city thing we still see.

I don't really want the intercooler sticking out in front of the bumper, to me it look an eyesore, if it can be don't neatly then I might not even fit one.

Just a standard 1.9 gti unit but new.

Since the build I have done about 500 miles (yes I know but I never get the time) I took it prescot hill pugfest last year and to be fair it's still covered in the flies etc I caught from there, it drives faultless to be honest and the brakes are fine.
