I might hold you to that one We could do with a spare hand or two coming to the events to sort the BBQ/Tents, etc, out whilst we recce the course, and probably lend a hand with servicing, if anyone's interested. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Whiplash, sore, and lost some skin where the belts were, but otherwise OK!edit: after him having a quick look at the car, we might get away with chopping half the front off and remaking it, new beams/upright/brakes and a new nerf rail down the side of the car. Well, that's a relief, only 2/3rds of the front to rebuild... ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Right, change of plan again, after getting ready to start chopping the front end off, we've managed to just about make a jig that'll press the lot, so we can straighten it out today. It'll be good enough to do two events, although I doubt it'll be spot on, but hey, the front wheels aren't on the floor that often... Once the season is over then we're going to sort it properly, but it's a bodge-it job just so we can go play some more this year ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. I've even managed to sneak another half a degree of camber out of the front beam Got to machine some new bushes up for the torsion bars now, and some new sleeves for the uprights, and a pair of new brake discs for the front, what fun. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Muhahaha, another shiny 1st trophy....Just about managed to cobble it all back together by 3pm on Saturday, loaded up, drove down, ended up kipping in the car as we needed a boat rather than a tent, course was rough as anything, bouncing off the skidpan most of the time, as there were area's where they'd been testing tank suspension out. p*ssed it down most of the day so was far too slippy for a 2wd car really, but still managed 1st in class + lap times were good enough for 8th overall. Lots of broken cars due to the ruts on the tank training bit though - it was like 18 inch speedbumps 2 feet apart. Fooking everything aches today, but ah well. We had a bit of trouble with a seal on the PAS pump giving up, and a car in front putting the boot down whilst sideways on a muddy patch just as we were overtaking, putting about an inch of muck on the screen and blowing the wiper motor But apart from those and the battery giving up and making us late for our last run, the car itself is alive and well again, with no problems Walters Arena in 2 weeks now that the WRC boys have finished using it, gravel tracks ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
