This may help the people who have Brembo's that squeel.....

I was basically talking to a mate who works at Peugeot about the infamous Brembo squeel and she rang me today and said she was speaking to the guys at work about it.

They told her to tell me to get this stuff as its what they use to cure any squeel, I think I remember Carl talking about it, you basically heat your pads up and brush it on and let it dry.

Anyways I thought I would post it up as it may help someone.

Here is a direct link to the product.

Here is a link to the main page its on.

The direct link has full technical information and instructions on how to use.

Hope this helps anyone Smile need mine to start squeeling so I could of tested it out for you LOL

J.

LOL Yeah, not a peep (touch wood)

Considering putting the other pads in to see if they are quiet too.

^^^ LOL

This is what he said in the thread when Carl was talking about it....

cosmic spanner wrote:
Have to say, DS2500s with Carl's special coating (now that either sounds dodgy or like some sort of fried chicken recipe) plus RichW's grooved Xantia discs seems to have done wonders..

They are pretty much silent now, and that's after getting properly hot at Anglesey. Very, very occasionally I get a slight squeal but really not very often and nothing like it used to be - I used to get more on the stock GTI-6 brakes if you see what I mean Wink

I'm certainly happy with them now, as long as this lasts LOL

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. LOL

Info i received from a fiat/alfa tuner/specialist
to stop squeel

.Original pads from dealer.
.Campher leading edge of pad.
.THOROUGHLY clean calipers
.sand/file the metal backing bolt in bits
.copper slip said backing bits
.copper slip back of pads
.use backingplates and copper slip them
.if possible use drilled/grooved discs will help marginally.

this is advice i was given, so thought id pass it on.

also just for the record OE PUG TRW PADS come with edges campherd as standard.
so there obviously is some truth in what he said to me. Yes
