Ryangti6 - The box that was in the car when i bought it had a crunch into 3rd, i replaced that with a 2nd hand one for £40 and not had a single problem with it since. The hose adapter was made up by 205parts, which allows you to use the standard 205 take off. They've just designed and made them and selling them through 205gtidrivers.

Cheers for the info, have just found the thread on 205drivers.

id think he would be very interested at that sort of price Yes, assuming it hasnt changed too much from when you were last thinking of getting rid... ie pretty much standard now and a few more miles.

Hows this coming along? I've seen a few posts here and there from you, have you managed to map it properly yet?

Looks "proper" does this, i like!

I've discovered an oil leak from the back of the head somewhere, hoping it's just a small weep from the cam cover but i'm unsure at the moment.

Once i've sorted the oil leak out then it'll be in for mapping straight away.

I should be picking something else up next week, which should be taking it to a completely different level Big grin

Ah right i thought you were mapping it yourself somehow.

Look forward to seeing what it is you're doing, if you decide to tell that is.

I picked this up yesterday Big grin The plan is to strip it all right back and start race prepping it, so that'll be a rather expensive cage Shockuch and rather expensive suspension i guess Shockuch

Then when it's all done, swap all the other bits over from the current 205....if i can ever find the f*cking oil leak it's got at the moment and get it mapped Dry

The worse bit of rust i can see, and even that only appears to be surface rust Big grin

I'm curious, what's the advantage of using the Rallye shell? Is if purely because of the modifications to it or is the rallye shell actually lighter than the GTi one?

Always looked like a nice toy this and sounds great on the videos I've seen. Ninja
