Did you use on of the generic maps Garry or a custom remap after fitting the charger? Just thinking with the cam in it too, you run the risk of running lean a fair bit.

Its one of the generic maps, the cam is very mild. It Made very little difference when it was N/A.
I plan to get an Emerald later, the generic map made sense as I wanted plug and play in order to get the thing running.

Yeah, looking pretty rapido mate! Might have to start considering charging mine rather than bodies Whistle

Although that then complicates potential racing series next year Hmmm

Awesome vid that...Cool

When you run a standalone ecu, you'll be able to run a bit more power and will be a lot easier to drive.. Once the ecu see's positive boost and a dumpvalve for better response...Big grin

Looks fooking quick Ninja

I'm guessing the low-boost conversion in a 205 won't be a million miles away from the high-boost conversion in a 306 in terms of performance Unsure

Well done Thumbs up

It is excellent fun and it should be even faster now that the compression will be higher!

It is annoying having to go through this again as i just want to use it, but I do get a great deal of satisfaction from fixing it too!

I will try and do more UK days and get a few in at Spa.

The new arrival won't stop me Wink (PS don't tell Angie Ninja )

yeah. 5 days into Farther hood for me today, and i bought another 205. So it just shows it can be done.

But don't expect to be able to do everything you use to be able to. It's surprising how long it takes to wind a new born sometimes...

Following the loose head bolts and perishing head gasket I got Miles of Pug racing to recondition the head and reassemble it.

The engine now has:
Valves were blasted and cleaned
3 Angle Valve seats
A cleaning skim
New OE head bolts and gasket
Standard inlet cam re fitted (it did have a piper fast road one)

The original clutch, which was a 405 Diesel one I think, was showing signs of excessive heat (blue tinges) and some of the springs were getting loose. This was backed up by a mega clutch slip as I exited the
