^^^ That's true, and that's why I recommend buying a good quality, branded filter. Halfords does not count.

I bought those very oil filters from neat on ebay, but in a box of £12 for a significant discount.

my local motorfactor stock fram, gsf do mann and purflux, o.e tends to be purflux.

When you consider that you get the washer and it posted it is a pretty good deal. Especially when you only use 2 a year.
