noticed today my front side lights weren't working. aswell as my rear passenger light and number plate lights. Sad

checked all the fuses, they are fine.

bulbs are fine in the front.

took the rear passenger light apart, found some corrosion on the plug pins and the bulbs. cleaned it all up. bulbs are fine.

problem remains.

the dash lights up on the side beams (first click)...so i dont think its the stalk.

it got dark and i got fed up.

ive done a search on here....found similar issues......the loom plug under the wiper motor? forgive my ignorance but is that on the inside or the outside of the car?

failing that, where else can i check? its a phase 2

turns out the FAQ for the phase 2 fuse box is incorrect, or my car is different. Crazy

found another thread on here.....the fuse for the side lights and rear passenger light is fuse 9 not number 4

corrotion in rear cluster caused a short, blew the fuse....cleaning it fixed that short...fuse replaced and job done.

I have the impression there are multiple fuse box versions per phase. Many times I end up just taking every fuse out until I find the faulty one 😅
