I am thinking of swapping out the original air box as it is well rusty. Also the car needs a new filter and the breather hose has broken. I am on a fairly limited budget to get this so was thinking the RAM Air kit might be an option. Any thoughts on this. ________________________________________ Phil Goodson405 Mi16 Phase 1 until 2002 306 Gti6 current project car 405 Mi16 LeMans current project car 505 Gti Estate current project car Audi S4 daily |

I have a BMC CDA fitted with the OEM tube to the inlet manifold. Sound is amazing! I have two versions, the standard by BMC suggested one and one that is a few cm shorter. Fitting one that is shorter allows for a tube to draw air somewhere else than from just above the tarmac. But have no tube fitted and all works well.________________________________________ My car park:'96 Sigma Blue XSi6 '98 Diablo Red GTi6 '99 Onyx Black S16 All RFS powered! Thanks chaps.I ended up putting on a Ram Air filter and will make a bracket to secure it and also eventually fit a shorten tube for it. Have yet to fit the supplied piping for the air supply. Must say it sounds really good. ________________________________________ Phil Goodson405 Mi16 Phase 1 until 2002 306 Gti6 current project car 405 Mi16 LeMans current project car 505 Gti Estate current project car Audi S4 daily |

It is difficult to get a good pic as it sits quite low. Will try to get one when it is fitted ideally with a shorter tube. ________________________________________ Phil Goodson405 Mi16 Phase 1 until 2002 306 Gti6 current project car 405 Mi16 LeMans current project car 505 Gti Estate current project car Audi S4 daily |

If you’re interested in selling the original air box you removed, I’m after one for my GTi-6, do PM me. Or anyone that has a spare. Thanks. ________________________________________ Owned:4x Peugeot 306 XS Phase 1 1x Peugeot 306 XS Phase 2 1x Peugeot 106 Quicksilver (Mistake Purchase) 1x Peugeot 306 GTi 6 Phase 2.5 (Current Car) |
