Hi allFinally found myself a half decent donor car and now preparation starts to swap it all over into my Cabrio. Problem though is that the donor is a ph1 with the keypad and the cab is a ph3. I really don't want to keep the keypad, neither do I want to just disable the immobiliser for security reasons. Has anyone tackled this swap before? Am I going to need to get a ph3 GTI6 loom and ECU to do this? Thanks, Chris |

Nobody knows anything about swapping ph1 to ph3? Or you're just upset I'm dismantling a GTi6 for this project?(Honestly, the donor has been messed about with so much it's not worth saving) |

 there was something about bypassing the pad on facebook,. not many people really come here that do conversion to run gti6 engines,. i've never done a swap but I think because the Electrical technology between the ph1 and ph3 are so different I think you might be in for a world of pain,. not something i'd attempt i'm afraid! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |
