Hi all

Finally found myself a half decent donor car and now preparation starts to swap it all over into my Cabrio. Problem though is that the donor is a ph1 with the keypad and the cab is a ph3.

I really don't want to keep the keypad, neither do I want to just disable the immobiliser for security reasons.

Has anyone tackled this swap before? Am I going to need to get a ph3 GTI6 loom and ECU to do this?

Thanks, Chris

Nobody knows anything about swapping ph1 to ph3? Or you're just upset I'm dismantling a GTi6 for this project?

(Honestly, the donor has been messed about with so much it's not worth saving)

LOL

there was something about bypassing the pad on facebook,.

not many people really come here that do conversion to run gti6 engines,.
i've never done a swap but I think because the Electrical technology between the ph1 and ph3 are so different I think you might be in for a world of pain,.

not something i'd attempt i'm afraid! LOL
