Hi guys, just found that on YouTube. Looks very promising. Waiting for the first one wrapping his exhaust manifold in it and testing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqR4_UoBIzY |

That's what I was thinking about after opening this thread. Could be true. But I can imagine it also working on a hot surface. Possible to try out on a cooktop. In this video it withstands a thermite reaction. Cool YT channel btw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qtm_xOtw_r0 |

this stuff does seem pretty cool, doubt it would be great for a manifold though, as i believe it gets quite brittle after a while and would probably disintegrate with all the vibration from the engine. |

It's not really any different from intumescent paint. No good for heat sheilding as it has to burning already to work, it's used to hold back fire from spreading for a while.406's already use it on the bulkhead and tunnel interestingly. Don't ask how I found that out. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
